Specifically, OS 4.0 consists of two main research lines:
- Study and development of interconnection methods for machines and systems for additive manufacturing used in the industrial sector.
- Development of systems for quality assurance and sustainability
OS 4.0 started in 2017 and is still under development. Both lines are producing encouraging results, with intermediate research products that are tested on special demonstrators.
