The platform will facilitate the participation in complex projects also by small businesses, down to artisan companies that, while needing to undertake an innovation path, lack adequate competences and management skills.
Through a holistic approach, an innovative system of interconnection among stakeholders will be created, extending the Industry 4.0 paradigm from the production context to the project and planning phases.
The platform will enable the integrated management of project progress as well as data storage and sharing, guaranteeing the privacy of individual partners, security in the transmission and storage of sensitive material subject to intellectual property restrictions and the interconnection of the production chain in the context of complex partnerships.
The project includes the definition of metrics for the evaluation of research projects, both during their development and after their conclusion, with the aim of integrating new objective criteria in DPR&DI that make it possible to quantify the performances of the research project, also based on the behavior of all those involved. These studies are positioned within a general discussion, very recent and complex, concerning the structure and boundaries of the research itself.
DPR&DI began in 2017. The project was then presented in the context of the Umbria Region call for tenders “POR FESR 2014-2020. Axis I Action 1.3.1. “Support for the creation and consolidation of innovative start-ups with high-intensity knowledge application and research spin-off initiatives“, published in the ordinary Supplement no. 6 to the “Official Bulletin” – General Series – n. 50 of 22 November 2017.
