Description
K-Digitale and Idea-Re, in collaboration with Baxter S.p.A., presented the results of DATAH – A data driven solution to reduce multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria health hazard at BI-REX, a technological innovation project dedicated to surveillance and risk management related to the spread of multidrug-resistant bacteria in hospital settings.
DATAH optimizes and automates the clinical processes for managing and monitoring diagnostic routines for the surveillance of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), with particular attention to colonization by carbapenem-resistant bacteria (CRE), through IoT devices for hand-washing recognition, indoor localization systems based on quantum computing, and real-time process management using the BPMN language.
Event programme:
- Introduction to BI-REX – Stefano Cattorini, General Director of BI-REX
- Institutional greetings – Franco Cima (Metropolitan City of Bologna) and Michele Zanoni (Emilia-Romagna Region)
- Project presentation – Paolo Rossi (Baxter S.p.A.) and Alberto Garinei (Scientific Director, K-Digitale and Idea-Re)
- Machine learning-based hand-washing device – Enrico Ferlinghetti and Matteo Lancini (University of Brescia)
- Quantum computing for indoor localization – Massimiliano Proietti (Idea-Re S.r.l.)
- Process management via BPMN – Lorenzo Sani (Idea-Re S.r.l.)
