Artificial Intelligence for Workplace Safety: The Vibes 4.0 Project
AI, data and workplace safety come together in Perugia to discuss intelligent prevention.
27/05/2025
Description
At a time when artificial intelligence is widely discussed, some are working to bring it to bear on real-world issues such as workplace safety, a field where prevention and innovation move hand in hand. It is from this conviction that the event scheduled for Tuesday 27 May 2025 in Perugia takes shape, from 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm, at WILA - Viale Tazio Nuvolari 21 - promoted by K-Digitale and Idea-Re in collaboration with the Competence Centre ARTES 4.0: an opportunity to discover VIBES 4.0, a data-driven digital platform for workplace safety prevention.
The VIBES 4.0 project comes to Perugia
With the VIBES 4.0 project, co-funded by the BIT Call (Technological Innovation Call) INAIL - ARTES 4.0, K-Digitale and Idea-Re enhance the informational potential of workplace safety data. The aim is to collect it systematically, organise it according to consistent criteria, analyse it through advanced Artificial Intelligence algorithms and return it in a clear, accessible and operational form to support rapid and effective decision-making.
VIBES 4.0 enhances the platform's capabilities through the integration of cutting-edge AI methodologies, capable of learning and improving through the accumulation and intelligent management of data. A genuinely data-driven approach is adopted, able to increase over time the effectiveness of interventions and the system's responsiveness.
The project aims to build an integrated hybrid system, in which location technologies, data transmission infrastructures, digital platforms and artificial intelligence converge. The result is a network of tools capable of generating automatic alerts for safety managers, contextual recommendations for operators, and strategic indicators for company management.
An event to understand, engage and share
The project presentation is a full Tech Talk designed as a space for in-depth discussion and exchange. The programme includes, following introductory remarks from ARTES 4.0, an intervention by Marcello Marconi and Massimiliano Sterpinetti of Gruppo Referentia, who will offer a contextual overview of the relationship between industry, digital transformation and new frontiers of prevention.
This will be followed by Prof. Alberto Garinei, Director of the Department of Engineering Sciences at the Università Guglielmo Marconi, with a focus on the structure and functioning of the platform. His intervention will be accompanied by an overview of decision support systems designed for businesses.
Next, Prof. Gianluca Rossi, also of the Perugian university, will deliver a lecture on the role of measurements in data-driven systems in the Industry 5.0 era.
Data scientist Massimiliano Proietti will present a session entirely dedicated to generative digital assistants and will demonstrate how AI can become an intelligent guide for safety management. The event will close with a live demonstration session of the developed solutions and a networking aperitivo to facilitate cross-sector connections and dialogue among businesses, researchers, consultants, managers and industry stakeholders.
Co-funded by the BIT Call (Technological Innovation Call) INAIL - ARTES 4.0.
The event is free and open to managers, entrepreneurs, consultants and safety professionals. Info and registration: anna.bicego@k-digitale.com
