Description
Invitalia's call is on its way, setting out the terms and timelines for submitting applications to access Smart Money, an incentive scheme allocating €9.5 million in support of the startup ecosystem.
The allocated amount, aimed at innovative startups established for less than 24 months or in the process of being established, will fund the implementation of activity plans (first line) and investment in the risk capital of innovative startups (second line).
For the first line of intervention, the measure provides for the granting of non-repayable contributions of up to €10,000, covering 80% of eligible expenses, for the purchase of services provided by actors within the "enabled innovation ecosystem": research organisations, certified incubators, business accelerators, innovation hubs, business angels and qualified investors.
For the second line of intervention, available exclusively to innovative startups admitted to the first line, non-repayable contributions equal to 100% of the risk capital investment are provided, up to an overall limit of €30,000. Fondazione Poiesis, a Research and Knowledge Dissemination Organisation within the meaning of EU Regulation 651/14, established by Idea-Re together with Tecnovia and Customer 1st, can provide all services funded by Smart Money. In particular, it can deliver:
- organisational, operational and strategic consultancy for project development and implementation
- intellectual property management
- support for digital maturity self-assessment
- technology development and scouting
- prototyping
- preparatory work for crowdfunding campaigns
