The project OPTISEW (Optimization method for sewer remote control systems through genetic algorithms – optimization method for the automatic control of sewer systems) has the main target to develop an optimized method for the remote control of sewer systems.
OPTISEW began in 2016 and developed throughout 2017. The intermediate results of the project were divulged through national conventions and conferences of reference (“Radmet 2017” convention, conference cycle “The technical-scientific knowledge on natural disasters as a support to strategic planning in multi-risk urban spaces” – Ferrara 05/05/2017) and have led to the obtaining of an important order by A2A S.p.a., the main Italian multiservice company, for the development of a prevention and mitigation system to prevent flooding of the waste water system downstream of a purification plant.
